The Worst People in the World

Worst People in the World

  1. ...which would make those calling for it to be banned the BEST people in the world, obviously. And who wouldn't want to be on the same side as the most morally superior human beings on the planet?

Your kid must be a racist and should be incarcerated immediately. As for you - well, hanging would be too good for you, frankly. Don't you realise that if the Confederate flag didn't exist, there'd be no more racial violence of any kind? All together now: "imagine there's no heaven..."

    1. I thought the worst people in the world were those that didn't congratulate Catlyn Jenner on face book.
Do you know anything about this fruity little fella john Oliver?

    2. Never heard of the jerk. Please do everyone here in England a favour and keep him there for a bit - believe me, we've got more than enough smug, unfunny, virtue-signalling, left-liberal pseudo-comics to be getting on with for the time being. Which is presumably the reason he's ended up in the US. Though why anyone over there would give him a job after you've all been through the trauma of Piers Morgan is a mystery.

    3. It's really hard for me to understand. I wouldn't go to Alabama and get in the middle of their business...I barely pay attention to the next county over and only because my sons school is located there. Put aside this particular issue, it is inconceivably rude...cosmically rude. Who in the fuck does he think he is ?

    1. He's moved beyond the shooting to anyone who displays the flag being the worst people in the world. Where he draws the knowledge or moral authority to make such claims five minutes off the boat..,I have no idea.

    2. He no doubt reads nothing but The Guardian, the New York Times and Salon, and all the people he mixes with hold exactly the same set of beliefs - how could he possibly not be right about everything?

    3. Huffington Post wet itself over his bit. "John Oliver Tells South What ItCan Do With Confederate Flags". I had to google HBO talk shows to find the little bitch. No idea who he was.
I only caught it looking for True Detective.

  3. Just to demonstrate how upside down this is...he made a 3/5 joke. This is in regards to slaves being considered 3/5 human when it came to figuring population for representation in Congress. For reason that should be glaring obvious, even to this cunt whistle, The South wanted to count the slaves 100%...it would have meant more representatives. FUCK SAKE! I guess it makes as much sense as blasting the Confederacy for being Imperialist.

  4. It makes sense. There's always a knee-jerk white northern move to interpret racism in the US as a southern problem that the civil war should have somehow solved so their northern job is done now. Since I don't have an emotional horse in this race I'd like to see the confederate flag get taken down just to see the bafflement when people are still racist. But it wouldn't be there, of course. Just get a degree easier to ignore.

John Oliver's parents are from Liverpool. I'd make a snarky joke about that and the profit from and participation in the slave trade but when you go to Liverpool it's pretty clear any benefits the city got from it disappeared several generations back. What a fucking dump.

  5. They do this even in their own towns. I saw it in Connecticut..."well they're all Italians out there and you know how they feel about blacks." No ma'am...actually I don't know. Unfortunately this interpretation of Lincoln's War as one for racial equality, as absurd as it is, has really taken hold. A product of identity politics....it has become extremely useful as a political tool. The Confederacy has gone through several interpretations with them but I think this one is probably going to stick. The fact that the radical racialization of politics in The South came during the occupation, was fostered by the laughably called Reconstruction...is never spoken of. We don't get the benefit of a Post Colonial interpretation of local divisions because the United States of America is not an imperialist power...OK.
One thing that doesn't seem to occur to them...mainly because they have absolutely no manners...is that the worse they talk about the flag, the worse they're talking about our ancestors. So, if we take down the flag...we're agreeing with all these ridiculous and horrible things that are being said about our kin.
I just want to know if John Fucking Oliver has any idea what was done to Charleston.
